Sensei

Standing at fore,
mindful of all.
Before on the floor,
those answering the call.

Blackbelt at waist,
round Gi that's worn.
Face to face,
with those who've borne.

Bare of feet,
with calloused hand.
Stands a Dan, elite,
with those who can.

With love in heart,
and knowledge all need.
Giving the Art,
to those who heed.

To show the Way,
of Masters before.
Sensei, I say,
I ask no more.
